Experiences of Another Kind
It may be hard for anyone to imagine, if you have never had an odd experience yourself. Fortunately for most of us, just about everyone on the planet can attest to having a paranormal or strange occurrence that is entirely unexplained. Things from a tingle on the back of your neck, a feeling of DejaVu or spotting something out of the corner of your eye…
The stories passed down by our generations typically have more fluff in them than you may know. Think of a favorite story you may have heard. Pass it through a few people and the end result might not be quite the same. They used to play that game in school when we were children to see the end result. Now look back into time at all the most famous stories on haunting or possessions. The truth behind them may be more exaggerated than you think. We want to get to the bottom of many of these stories and develop a community searching for answers to the greatest paranormal questions. Not only “IS” the place haunted, but by whom. Is there a history with this location and a reason why it would be haunted.
In the case of Fairfield Hills Mental Hospital in Newtown, CT, it is quite clear WHY the place is haunted, but we really don’t know by whom… Patients perhaps or possibly nurses who may have been killed by patients? The endless possibilities will continue when you deal with a high death factor such as Fairfield Hills. Too many people were abused and tortured to think that it is haunted by a single person or entity.
What about cemeteries? Why are these locations pronounced to experience a higher level or paranormal activity? Just because the hollowed ground exists with the dead does not mean that those spirits are choosing to exist here and wander. In fact, most haunted cemetery locations have nothing to do with the cemetery. For instance, the “White Lady” known to haunt Union Cemetery in Easton, CT has nothing to do with the fact that she is buried there. The rumor behind the story is that she is searching for her husband who’s body was found in the small stream just behind the church on the property.
We still search for the truth to so many of our questions and as of now, no one has ever answered them. The unknown is what drives us forward.
