Union cemetery has a jaded past and is known even by Wikipedia (click for article) as one of the most haunted cemeteries in the Unites States. An apparently haunted location in Easton, Connecticut, separated by three intersecting streets causing a triangle of tombstones. Rumor has it that the area is haunted by the ““, a supposed apparition of sorts that has been seen in the area surrounding the cemetery and even in the streets. A free flowing mist of while energy that aimlessly walks around. have investigated this location and even wrote a book entitled, after it.
I, myself have witnessed no such encounter with an apparition here, but I am not saying it isn’t haunted… I have spent about 4 or 5 nights searching the area, taking tons and tons of photo’s which will be posted shortly. The one common thing we always seemed to find was an exaggerated amount of energy orbs. In my opinion, an energy orb, or a bubble on camera, shows something floating in the air that is not meant to be dust or rain, etc. We snapped about 200 photo’s one clear night and the photo’s came out amazing! Thousands of orbs in each frame. It nearly looked like it was raining or that we were being thrown into some strange vortex on the film. You can easily see the orbs surrounding an area, but then to the right or left, nothing. Deadly calm and clean space, but in certain areas, a majestic amount of clear white energy.
Whether this is the doing on the “White Lady” or simply mist of some sort, it is bizarre. Legend of the story is that she is looking for her lost husband who was found dead in the small river just to the side of the cemetery. There is a large church on the property and a small stream behind it. Not much exists now, but his body was found there in the 1700 or 1800’s. Many travelers have reported “hitting” the White Lady or have driven right through her. Reports date back to the early 1940’s of this entity being spotted.
Again, I have frequented this location many times. I have certainly had my close-calls with the authorities as well, so be warned!
If I had to rate the cemetery on a haunting, I would say no. It is creepy, old and I could imagine many tricks have been played by our minds, but no apparitions for me.
The stories online will amaze you, but for us so far, we have only orb photo’s of actual proof. More will follow as we will be planning another trip soon.
